As promised I am trying to photograph & post my top 5 day-to-day outfits. Those perfect outfits that I love & can go to in a hurry because they are tried & tested. For some reason they just never make it to the blog!

When I first stumbled on this dress at Old Navy I thought it was nice but that the color was all wrong for me. When I noticed it had been marked down to $10 though... I thought, why not?!

At first I would only wear it with a black cardigan or jacket because of the color but one night out without covering up & I really started to like it.

It is short so I always pair it with thick tights or leggings, like these ones from We Love Colors but now that spring is here I was excited to add something bright to the mix!!

My brand new gorgeous clutch from ASOS paired up with a Forever21 necklace and some fun pink nails made me feel a little more seasonal with this outfit. Maybe some new colored tights are in order for other fun options?

Spectacular Spectacular!

Last night I had the chance to attend the local, Imperial Theatre for an Moulin Rouge event as my friend Pam's date. She won a pair of tickets from Fusion, a Saint John based networking group & lucky me I got to tag along!!

Obviously, I couldn't resist getting a bit into the spirit of the night with some big hair, big accessories & of course fishnets!!

I decided to layer some We Love Colors tights underneath my fishnet to get some extra color & flare in my ensemble. I threw on a variety of big bangles to match my gorgeous damask Cherry Velvet dress & teased my hair til it reached the sky!

Thanks again to the Imperial Theatre, Fusion and of course Pam & Monique for a fabulous night out on the town! Can't wait to do it again soon... we already have plans to see a production of Romeo & Juliet in May!

I know, you want to hate me just for saying it but with the September issue of all the magazines hitting the stands it is hard not to get excited about switching over my wardrobe & finding brand new pieces to incorporate into it.

I'm also dying for these red skinny jeans from ASOS Curve line to mix & match with some of my favorite black pieces & a perfectly matching red belt I nabbed from Torrid.  I'm also envisioning them paired with a bold b&w blouse I love...

Fully Accessorized

I wish I could tell you that my dreams of vacation shopping were filled with amazing clothing finds.. but I can't. Ontario is just as much of a plus sized wasteland (unless some of you can site me specific examples??) as New Brunswick. In fact, if google search tells me anything, it is that all of Canada is severally lacking in plus size clothing options.  If I was a US chain like Torrid... I'd be thinking about that VERY hard...

Anyways, just because I didn't buy clothes doesn't mean I didn't shop. I shopped & shopped & the theme seemed to be accessorizing! Make up, bags, mounds of jewelry & one ultimate accessory!

This is the point when I wish I could tell & show you my amazing pair of new shoes....

I DID photograph some to share with you though!!

I have some feet & ankles issues that prevent me from wearing heels but these wild creations made my heart skip a beat! Yes they are over the top. Yes one pair is rainbow glittered. But my inner Glinda or Beth Ditto wanted to dance!!!

Finally I finished my Toronto shopping spree with a woman's ultimate accessory... the perfect hair.

I always, always, ALWAYS visit Vanessa at House of Lords in Toronto when I am home. Often waiting beyond the fashionable amount of time between cuts & colours just so I can have her be the one to do it.
She really is that good.

*also I've asked her to guest post in the future - as a plus sized burlesque dancer, hers is a perspective you will LOVE to hear!
