Ever walk in a shop and feel a sense of excitement, a buzzing?
It's rare, right?
Heartbreak Boutique in uptown Saint John has that excitement and gives me a serious buzz.
I don't know if it is all the fun patterns...
The variety in sizes...
Or owner, Pam's huge smile and giddy excitement over her own shop!
Located at 80 Princess Street, the boutique is the latest gal to join the uptown in-crowd but with her own distinctive style and flare! Heartbreak, like owner Pam, has a serious crush on the retro styles of the pin up girls and rockabilly stars.
My favorite items are the dresses without a doubt but Heartbreak also has fantastic tee's & cardigans, as well as men's clothes and lots of fun accessories!
Pam tells me that there are more plus sized items coming in all the time, so if you haven't been in yet, or haven't visited recently put it on your to-do list!

For the love of... OOTD
Are you familiar with my love of polka dots?
It never wanes.
Case in point - I purchased 3! polka dot tops in the last two weeks.
Oh and how about the polka dot Cherry Velvet dress earlier this week???
It is so rare to find polka dotted perfection, at least I find it so in plus size, so I'm a little bit giddy with my recent purchases.
Today's polka dot contribution comes from Heartbreak Boutique in uptown Saint John. They carry a variety of sizes and recently brought in these super cute polka dot retro halter tops.

I love the classic pin-up shape this top gives me. I had a good day in this outfit, loving my curves & feeling fabulously sexy!
Skirt from Forever 21+, is super well fitted, stretchy & a steal at only $11.80!! I'm thinking I
should snatch it up in other colors for work wear this fall!
I kept my accessories simple but with my favorites...

Fabulous Heat!
After spending several days outside in the beating sun, crisping up & selling my line of Darling Dilemma jewelry to locals, tourists & cruise ship passengers all that I can think about is beach time!!
With a decent base tan now, and a Moose Light Ginger (possibly my new summer bevvy of choice, although highly unlikely that I would give up a long time love of Pina Coladas!!) I find myself stuck in front of the computer browsing swimsuits...
Every woman knows this is a daunting & emotional task, one that won't improve with the above mentioned beer.
Polka dot swimwear
Okay so I gave up mid blog & focused more on sleep & beer than swimwear... so apparently this is a 2 day blog...
The above swimsuit was what I was leaning towards.. polka dot, full coverage, a nice neckline with a bit of a retro feel to it!
Below is my other selection, similar but with slight differences...
Miraclesuit swimwear (clipped to polyvore.com)
Both of these polka dot swimsuits are available from Evans who is having some rather incredible sales on swimwear at the moment. Shipping to Canada & the US costs 8pounds & takes about a week. Not too shabby!
As I sat there drinking, tweeting & pondering a new swimsuit a friend sent them the following link for Get Go Retro and then all things went to hell...
Filled with retro wear in a variety of sizes, for a variety of shapes, Get Go Retro is one of the funnest online shops I've stumbled upon lately!
I know at least a few of my girls will feel faint after seeing this one;
And I am sure any who know me in person would assume this darling cherry piece would be my suit of choice!
But it's not... It runs a close second but once I saw this suit, all bets were off!
One friend acclaimed it 'killer' once I posted it on facebook... At $130 it currently out of my price range (and IS killing me - does that count??) but it is at the TIP-TOP of my wish list.
Well right below a Pina Colada.
